 Prompt Response: Something that I have done that could be considered out of the normal is enjoying cleaning.To some it might be considered normal to others it may not.I see it as a good way to get your mind off of anything.It also a way to do something to waste time if bored or with nothing to do.My family members do not react in a bad way about they just see it as different.My sibling may not agree with the idea about it but it is something that is my choice.

Prompt Response: I feel as if being Hispanic and being able to speak Spanish travels with me.This is an important thing to me because it reminds me of where my family is from.This also helps with understanding different things more than just speaking one language.Even knowing where my family is from makes me proud of it.When being hispanic there also many things you can learn from just that.

 Prompt Response: There was a time that just  because of my skin color that I was a white American.Since I am very light skin toned it appears that way when in reality I am Hispanic.I corrected them and told them that.I also understand why it happens but it would be better to ask first.It is assumed that all Hispanics have a darker skin color when it actually varies. Summary:We talked about stereotypes there are on different kinds of people. Reflection:A stereotype is when something assumed is mentioned because of the way you are.There are different kinds of stereotypes that can be be positive,negative or neutral.

 Prompt Response: Something I would never be able to fully understand is when numbers end counting.This is a thought that can go on for long.There a many big numbers that we can think of but there is even bigger than that.A person could spend a long time counting but it wont stop at the very last number.I wonder when it ends and how it was decided to end there.There could be many reasons why it was chosen to keep on going for long but how does this really become. Summary:Today we listened to classmates do presentations. Reflection:Many people have different aspects to their identity that we do not know about.There also many small similarities between peoples culture.

 Prompt Response: There are many things that people think about on a daily.One major question I have is how everything came to be like Earth.I always question how every bit of Earth got together.There could be many possibilities for answers for this question.Another major question would be what is the meaning of the life were living.This question could also have many answers to it.At the same time we may have our own answers.The type of questions are the type to stay on your mind and really make you wonder. Summary:In the poem we tried to understand what the speaker was trying to tells us about their identity through it. Reflection: Today we read the poem and discussed personal ideas about themselves from the speaker.This could help me later on when trying to understand other poems being read.

 Prompt Response: A time when I felt lost would be in sophomore year of school.I would say school got challenging especially with work.It was hard to keep up and stay on track.During this time it was also a way for me to turn that way around.I was able to make up from that and be able to recover from having bad grades.It was bad in the beggining but it got better throughout the end. Summary: Presentation of mask Reflection: The presentations were a way to learn about classmates.Not only things about them but about their culture as well.

 Prompt Response: There are many roles that difference with males and females.Females main role would be to cook and clean.Meanwhile the role for men would be to work.This affects how it is passed on to family.Since that is the way I am taught then it would be what I would set as an example as well.It would be something that I am well taught to do so I would not have a negative idea about it.This could also be different for many families. Summary: We have now started on a mask that reflects cultural identity.This would include aspects of ourselves and how it is symbolized towards us. Reflection:There are many roles for female and male that could differ in others identity.It could be the same for some but at least with some differences.

 Prompt Response: I have adapted to the demands of this course by knowing that the blog post have to be completed.This could be a challenge by having to keep up with it on a daily basis.In a way this could be a strength because it will help me be consistent with work.It will help me knowing that I have an assignment to turn in everyday.This way I am able to keep up and not get behind. Summary: We are completing any missing work throughout the week that has been uncompleted. Reflection:There has to be a completion of the blog everyday.The main assignments we were working on should be done by the end of the week.

 Prompt Response: In my family it is expected for the women to cook while the men work.This contrast in "Girl" by the daughter having to do chores for her family.A main thing would be fixing her fathers clothes.This is something that can not be argued with the parents.She was also being taught to be lady like.Acting in a opposite way would not be in the parents pefrenece. Summary: We still focused on expectaions that happened in "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid. Refelction: There are many cultures that also have many expections in their family.This revolves round many places around the world.

 Prompt Response: In my cultural heritage my expectations are shaped to mainly know how to cook and clean.When getting home I don't expect the house to be that clean and if it is not there is time for  me to tidy up.This is to help my mom around the house. Summary: Today we read "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid and disscused in sections what it was about. Reflection: It was read how the daughter was taught to be in lady like way.It was both parents criticizing in a teaching manner on how the daughter has to act as a young girl.
