After watching the presentations I find the Italians Americans group the most interesting. The presentation clearly explained how they were seen as being in gangs and how it affected Italians portrayal to the world. The presentation changed my understanding of that culture by seeing that are more stereotypes made about other culture than we think. It also changed my mind on film makers because it was written with personal thoughts. It made me realize their could be someone sharing their thoughts or personal expirence. Something I enjoyed seeing was the key scene which showed how the young boys were affected with witnessing harsh experiences in front of their eyes. The second key scene was also interesting because of how on friend wanted to fight for the boys riding on bikes. The scenes were interesting making it grab most people's attention.

In my personal opinion I think the financial benefits and stability it can provide plays a greater role in shaping your future. This can impact your overall life by giving you better motivation not just for your family but for yourself as well.It will give you a better sense of life with feeling relieved from any problems you may have. This can also help you manage your money and happiness better than you usually would keeping you stable for a better life in the future.Your financial benefits should be most prioritized since it is what will affect you if you end struggling with money.Without your financial benefits you would not be able to enjoy your passion of doing anything you want to do.Your happiness gets affected by stressing over financial problems which could later lead to worse problems.Your feelings could end up overtaking you and makes it hard for you to get back on track again.Keeping your eyes only on your passion can keep you distracted from what you need to do to work...

I would say my style varies from anything making it all over the place. Some days I like to dress comfortable, girly or tomboy making my style appear to be anything.People appear to have a set girly style on me and that I will always dress like that but most of the time it is something comfortable. The only way I get a response is only getting certain looks like looking up and down quickly. This reveals that our society does not have much of an open mind on genders. Some people forget that there is a variety of style so why would we just stick to one?I say there has been too many stereotypes made to keep them going on for so long.A better way to think about is is by knowing not every girl has to wear a dress and not every boy has to dress casual.Stereotypes is what sometimes gets in the way when wanting to express ourselves. It'll hold us back from wearing something just because of someone else's opinion.

The most exciting thing about graduation is finally having the weight of school of my shoulders. This will make me feel reviled since I feel like many of us struggle with keeping up with work and balancing a job as well. After many years of school I feel sad yet glad it has finally came to an end. After graduation I am looking forward to my independence. With having school out the way I will have to more time for a job and build up money throughout the year.I will be able to balance out a better schedule and have time for my own.School keeps me caught up in my work and rushing to finish assignments since there isn't much time after school. This will also help me mentally that way I feel as if there's nothing stopping me from working.

A film that I can connect my culture with is the Disney movie "Coco".This movie shows the Hispanic culture very detailed. They make sure to show meals and small traditions that mostly every hispanic family does.Seeing this was like looking at my reflection because of all the things that the movie had in common with me.The movie reminded me of meals my grandma would make for us when she had the chance.the only difference between the movie and I is that my grandma never really stopped us from doing anything. There was not anything that would hold her back and allowed me and my cousins to be our true selves.

Due to the harsh treatment of other children the young boy questions his identity. The boy looks at his own reflection several times throughout the film.He does not just stare at  himself but he looks at his features closely which makes me realize how unsure he feels with himself. The boy feels as if he does not belong because of his skin color. Not only that but there are assumptions being made that he has AIDS.This is made from the children own beliefs towards African Americans possibly heard from their parents of classmates. This made everyone believe this stereotype was true which caused everyone to follow along and treat the young boy unfairly.the children would constantly throw out rude words and look at him differently. This made him feel like he did not belong because it seemed like a never ending cycle of harsh comments an d being looked at differently.

Stereotypes allow film makers to make character traits for the viewers without directly putting it out there.Another reason I can think about is to crucially show their opinions that they have on others to viewers which could be in a harmful way. Many filmmakers find this better than maintaining someones true identity for the results they get out of it.Filmmakers find what viewers can like or get their attention and they put this into films.I do not believe that should be justified because it can make many feel bad about themselves. The only time I would justify it is if there if a lesson being taught. In the film "Good Hair'' I could immediately understand what was going to happen but it was still surprising to see the more there is to it.

There was a time in elementary school when my teacher played the Ruby Bridges film to teach race. The movie showed how a young black girl had to endure the hatred of white people because of her race. All Ruby wanted to do was get a good education without any problems. This help me understand that  others go through the worst experiences because of the most little things. The film clearly showed how the time was hard back then even for children. It taught me how we should all be treated equally no matter the differences we have. The film also taught how people wouldn't even care for a little girls feelings they let there opinions take over. One thing I really enjoyed was how Ruby stood her ground and walked with confidence. This is how it should always be without anyone affecting others.

My hair connects to culture and identity by showing who I really am. Everyone's hair can connect to their roots without others even realizing it.Hair shows where our parents and their parents came from because it will always pass on.There are times where I do feel confident about my hair since I like to style it a lot.Doing this makes me feel better about my self because I get to enjoy the process.I used to only wear my hair down because I enjoyed showing my long straight hair. This also connects to my culture because many know our hair should be taken care of.My hair also used to be curly when I was younger but later turned into a wavy and straight style.

My perfect spring break would involve a trip including many places like Japan,South Korea,Bora Bora and many more.To this trip I would bring close family and friends along with our necessities and unlimited money for each one of us.During the time spent at  each place will visit the most popular places, take adventures and explore nature parts around the  area. There will also be time for relaxation times where there are no worries. The spring break will have no  limitation of time so it would last pretty long until every place  has been visited. We would also have no complications on the way or back so everything goes by smoothly.

Seeing a variety  of different cultural foods really opens your eyes when unexpected. We usually think of food and don't think of it in a deeper way.Cultural foods show us everyone's background moving further than just basic things we see from a culture. There are many cultures where there at least one dish attached.I think this is something that really stands out since it shows what really represents one culture. That is something that happens with a lot of dishes explaining more than just ingredients. Many explain how food brings everyone from families together.

Food makes individuals understand who they are in many ways.Everyone may think of something different when thinking of the word "food" and that is okay.Food will always take each one of us back when our mothers would prepare meals. From the Ted Talk I can relate to the speaker. There are many times where we question ourselves because of others. The way to find the answer is to reflect on meals even though it may not seem like any sense.Food will make you realize who you really are or at least show you your background.

There are many cultures where leftovers may not be as normal. In some cultures people find it as a way to save food and money. In others people may find it weird o unheard of which makes her think someone will find it strange one day. This is one way she could feel disconnected with her culture which is also why the author may feel ashamed.A way to make it more meaningful would've been preparing a meal. Not any meal, a meal from their culture they grew up with. This would've brought everyone together even more.
