Stereotypes allow film makers to make character traits for the viewers without directly putting it out there.Another reason I can think about is to crucially show their opinions that they have on others to viewers which could be in a harmful way. Many filmmakers find this better than maintaining someones true identity for the results they get out of it.Filmmakers find what viewers can like or get their attention and they put this into films.I do not believe that should be justified because it can make many feel bad about themselves. The only time I would justify it is if there if a lesson being taught. In the film "Good Hair'' I could immediately understand what was going to happen but it was still surprising to see the more there is to it.
