Prompt Response:A time when someones word offended me was when being called lazy.This was also after a long day of school where I was just resting.This made me feel bad in a way because I knew it was not true.In response I said what I thought was true that I was not.To resolve this situation I simply asked not to be called that again.My response had allowed there to be an understanding.

Summary:Today in class we went over the poem "Incident" by Countee Cullen.

Reflection:The poem we went over helped us understand that some things we say could have a lasting effect.There are many terms we do not realize are offensive to others.

That experience changed the way I see the world because from something like that we always expect the good.With those expectations we expect the good and more no matter what.This shows how there  is always two sides.There is never just good there will always be a bit of bad.This also taught me never expect so much because there could be disappointment in the end.There is also not any full goodness in the world.

 I would say my style varies from anything making it all over the place.Some days I like to dress comfortable,girly or tomboy making my style appear to be anything.People appear to have a set girly style on me and that I will always dress like that but most of the time it is something comfortable.The only way I get a response is only getting certain looks like looking up and down quickly.This reveals that our society does not have much of an open mind on genders.Some people forget that there is a variety of style so why would we just stick to one?I say there has been too many stereotypes made to keep them going on for so long.A better way to think about is is by knowing not every girl has to wear a dress and not every boy has to dress casual.Stereotypes is what sometimes gets in the way when wanting to express ourselves.It'll hold us back from wearing something just because of someone else's opinion.
