 The holidays have changed in many ways as getting older.When I was younger there no focus on anything else but the presents.As getting older I know what to expect and we also have to participate with the adults.This includes helping with cooking and cleaning around the house.I would not say this is a bad thing because I also enjoy spending time with family.Now seeing my younger cousins during Christmas it was not the same as me.To me Christmas has always been my favorite holiday because it is the holiday you participate most .

Today we started watching the movie based on the book The Color Purple and compared important scenes to the book.

That experience changed the way I see the world because from something like that we always expect the good.With those expectations we expect the good and more no matter what.This shows how there  is always two sides.There is never just good there will always be a bit of bad.This also taught me never expect so much because there could be disappointment in the end.There is also not any full goodness in the world.

 I would say my style varies from anything making it all over the place.Some days I like to dress comfortable,girly or tomboy making my style appear to be anything.People appear to have a set girly style on me and that I will always dress like that but most of the time it is something comfortable.The only way I get a response is only getting certain looks like looking up and down quickly.This reveals that our society does not have much of an open mind on genders.Some people forget that there is a variety of style so why would we just stick to one?I say there has been too many stereotypes made to keep them going on for so long.A better way to think about is is by knowing not every girl has to wear a dress and not every boy has to dress casual.Stereotypes is what sometimes gets in the way when wanting to express ourselves.It'll hold us back from wearing something just because of someone else's opinion.
